Streets and lanes appeal
At no other time in our lives is there a faster period of emoti For most young people, the emotional, social and physical transition experienced during adolescence is a challenge. Add the kind of factors we see our clients experiencing such as abuse, divorce, family dysfunction, poverty and the challenge can leave them demoralised and disconnected. Without strong connections to family, a community or education, many young people run the risk of isolation, depression, unemployment, drug problems and even homelessness. Each year the generosity of donors to Anglicare Victoria, enables us to directly support 1200 young people with services and programs including residential care, counselling, group work, foster care, education and training, support and mentoring. We help thousands more through intensive family service work, family violence programs, drug and alcohol support and parenting programs. Every one of these programs is designed to strengthen connections to the young person’s family, carers, community and education. Please make a donation to our Streets & Lanes Appeal this year. This is an appeal that raises both money and awareness to support the most vulnerable young people in our community. |
