Anglicare Victoria has an exciting opportunity for highly motivated individuals to conduct assessment and training of new volunteer foster carers on a needs basis across the organisation.
The positions offer high level flexibility and would highly suit an individual who is seeking extra experience in assessment work, working flexible hours/days or working around family commitments.
The role will involve conducting carer training using the “Shared Stories- Shared Lives” package, caregiver assessment using the ‘Step by Step” competency framework, assessment report writing and making recommendations to the Accreditation panels within the regions.
You will have a strong background in working in the child welfare sector and a good understanding of working with and engaging volunteer carers. The organisation is seeking someone who is able to work independently to clear timelines and has good verbal and written communication skills.
Training in Step by Step and Shared Stories-Shared Lives is preferable however not essential as training can be provided.
