As an organisation that transforms the futures of vulnerable children, young people and their families, supporting the long-term health of our planet is part of our duty of care to the coming generations.

In 2020, the AV Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee (AV Green Team) was established to drive environmental change and promote sustainable initiatives across Anglicare Victoria and support our regional sustainability teams in further reducing environmental impact in the years to come.

AV is committed to reducing the environmental impacts of our organisation. AV aims to positively influence and support widespread action across our operations and our communities.

“Anglicare Victoria seeks not only to sustain and contribute to the positive development of its workforce, it also wishes to sustain the natural environment in which it operates. This aligns with our values when working with the families we support. A sustainable environment is a healthy environment for us all.” — Shaye Chalmers, Regional Director East, and Chair of AV Green Team

In particular, Anglicare Victoria recognises that the Traditional Owners have managed these lands for thousands of years and we commit to working respectfully alongside them, learning from their knowledge and skills.”
