As part of the Working for Victoria Initiative, Anglicare Victoria are proud to be able to offer a variety of positions to support people in the community affected by COVID-19, those requiring Financial Support, as well as offer positions to support our Corporate and Back Office functions.

Our Corporate and Back Office roles will work to ensure that new staff we hire as part of the Working for Victoria Initiative are fully supported.

Our Community Support Service Workers will provide a variety of specific support to people in the local area, whether it be material aid, referrals to other services or general support.

Our Financial Wellness Workers will provide financial guidance, support and referral onto other programs.

  • Corporate and Back Office Support Positions

    These positions will form part of our central teams, usually based in Collingwood to support our state wide services and employees. As part of our commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our workers, many of the roles will involve working predominantly from home.

    These positions will be available in a number of specific areas including North, East, South and West Metro Melbourne, as well as areas in Gippsland and Bendigo, to support our clients in regional Victoria.

    These positions will include

    • 45 Community Support Service Workers
    • 4 Community Support Service Coordinators
    • Community Support Service Project Lead

    Financial Wellness Workers

    These positions will be available in a number of specific areas including Metro Melbourne, as well as areas in Gippsland and Bendigo, to support our clients in regional Victoria. As part of our commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our workers, many of the roles will also involve working from home.

  • Each role will be advertised on SideKicker in a specific category. To ensure you are notified of roles at Anglicare, you must select the appropriate categories of positions you are interested in.   • As part of the initiative, Anglicare Victoria will be able to offer 6 month fixed term contract positions working full time hours (38 hours per week). Some part time positions may also be available.

  • Pay rates vary depending on the role however all positions offer pay rates either in line with the appropriate industry award rate or a competitive pay rate in line with the industry average.

  • Positions will start to be advertised from the beginning of August and new roles will be released each week through until the end of September.

  • These roles each have a specific function and set of required experience, which will be detailed in each of the specific opportunities advertised on SideKicker as well as in the Position Description.

    Any mandatory requirements such as specific Qualifications, Police Checks, Working with Children Check requirements for example will also be detailed in the advert.

    Please note that as we take steps to reduce the risks associated with COVID-19, working from home may be required as part of many of these roles. In those cases, applicants will also need access to a suitable work space and reliable internet connection.

    Once you have done so, a member of our team will assess your application.

    Shortlisted applicants will then be contacted and invited to submit a formal application through the Anglicare Victoria Careers Portal.

    From there, members of our recruitment team and/or the leadership team of the program to which you have applied will be in touch to organise both an informal initial phone based interview as well as a more formal video interview.

    Successful applicants will be contacted directly at which point details of our employment screening and compliance process will be discussed.

    Preferred applicants who pass employment screening will be offered roles and invited to attend orientation, induction and training.
